The Bible plainly tells us that the Christian life is a walk of faith.
“Now the just shall live by faith.”(Rom.1:17, Habk. 2:4, Gal.2:16, Heb.10:38).
“For without faith it is impossible to please God.”(Heb.11:6).
“For we walk by faith and not by sight” (2 Cor. 4:7).
All the saints who have gone before us walked with God by faith (Hebrews 11).
Someone said “faith is the currency of God’s kingdom.”
Friend, l want to encourage you in your walk with God. Listen: You don’t need to seek for a dream, see a vision, hear an audible voice, and experience some supernatural manifestations to know God, walk with Him, or prove God is with you.
All these are not the evidences or marks of someone who knows and walks with God, though some who walk with Him may occasionally have these experiences. Balaam was a prophet used by God and had all these marks, but God was not pleased with Him. He died miserably. Judas is another example. Don’t measure your spirituality or walk with God by these. You may not have these experiences and still walk with God as much as Enoch, Abraham, Mary, Peter and Paul did.
In our days, so much emphasis have been placed on supernatural manifestations that many think if they don’t have these experiences they are not spiritual and not anointed by God. They therefore always seek for some sort of supernatural manifestations, especially when waiting on God, seeking His face in prayer or when passing through difficult times and do not sense His presence.
You can walk with God intimately, be pleasing to Him and be led by Him; you can be guided by His wisdom, counsel, discernment and be aware of His presence in your life, even though you may not experience supernatural manifestations?
Always approach God’s throne by faith, faith in Him, not in yourself (Hebs. 4:16, 10:19-23), go with a pure heart and clean hands (Psalm 24:3, James 4:8), and talk to Him honestly from your heart, every time, believing and trusting Him with a childlike faith. Read His Word always and lay hold of His promises by faith. Learn to walk in complete surrender and obedience to Him, deal with and lay on the altar whatsoever the Spirit of God points His finger at in your life, no matter how insignificant it seems in your eyes. Let nothing stand between you and God. Slowly but steadily, you will begin to hear Him speak more clearly in your heart. This is how to grow in the Christian faith and walk with God.
God loves His children dearly. He is ever present with you, irrespective of your feelings. Beloved, Walk with God by faith and you will experience Him in your day to day life.
27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”(John 20: 27-29).
