The sun is the centre of our solar system. It’s the largest object and the only star in our solar system; it’s also the closest star to planet earth. Revolving around it are several planets, including our home planet – earth. The sun’s gravity holds the solar system together, keeping the planets, asteroids, comets, even the tiniest debris in orbit. Without its energy there will be no life on earth. It gives warmth and light on earth so we can see. For the earth to continue to team with life, receive warmth and light, it must continue to revolve around the sun nonstop. The sun is constant. It never fails to rise, always there every morning.
Is God the centre of your world?
Is He the sun – the only star in your life?
Does your life revolve around Him?
God is constant, unmovable, unchangeable, and dependable. He holds the whole world together by His mighty power. In His light alone can we see light; in His life we have life, He alone is the giver and sustainer of life; His love alone can truly warm the human heart. His strength alone will keep you from drifting away and becoming lost in the jungle of this wicked world (Col. 1:17, John 8:16, John1:4, John11:25,1John 4:16, Romans 5:5).
You, O Lord, are the sun of my life. As the sun is the centre of our solar system so are you the centre of my world. Without You, I have no light, no warmth and no life. My whole life revolves around You. Nothing and no one on this earth can take the centre of my world, only You, Lord, exclusively You.
Today, make Jesus, the centre of your world. Give Him the throne of your heart. He doesn’t just want to be number one; He wants to be the centrality of your life. This is why He says to those who would follow Him: forsake all; deny yourself; you cannot serve two masters (Luke 16:13, Matt. 16:24).
“You cannot be My disciple, unless you love Me more than you love your father and mother, your wife and children, and your brothers and sisters. You cannot follow me unless you love Me more than you love your own life.” (Luke 14:26) CEV.
