Enoch so walked with God that God took him alive to live with Him in heaven (Gen. 5:21– 24).
Hebrews 11:5 says:
“Noah also was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God (Gen. 6:9).
The Bible records that these two men were ordinary people like us. They did not live in isolation; they lived among their people and interacted; both of them had a wife, children, grandchildren, in-laws, neighbours etc.
The Bible also tells us that the world and people around them in those days were godless, corrupt, and wicked, and in spite of all these they still walked with God blamelessly.
The Christian is a person who is walking with God, and God’s standard has not changed. He expects no less from us.
“Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life…” (Phil. 2:14 – 16 NIV).
The temptations and allurements of the world are getting stronger daily, but if we have made a radical commitment to God, making Jesus the total Master of our lives, submitting to His total rule and authority, putting Him first in our lives He will not let us fall. Remember this: God will never leave you unless you don’t want Him anymore. As long as He remains your Lord He will never forsake you, no matter what happens along life’s journey.
We sincerely hope to encourage and inspire you in your pursuit of God.
Sincerely yours in Him,
Yinka Adenuga.
