Every new year we pray, hope and desire that the new year will be much better than the previous one. God is the only one who crowns the year with goodness – His goodness. We therefore should make it our utmost desire to walk the path of the Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient One. His path alone drips with abundance – abundant love, abundant peace, abundant joy, abundant hope, abundant righteousness – all that our soul need and desire.
The God we serve – the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of the Bible – loves to be sought whole-heartedly, make this year a year in which you will seek and walk with Him more.
Make it a priority to be alone with Him in prayer, to be alone with Him studying and meditating on His word. Learn also to listen to Him speak as you wait on Him in prayer and Bible study. As you do this God will keep revealing Himself to you. And of course do not neglect fellowship with the Saints.
The person who walks with God Almighty is always on the winning side.
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8.
Have a God-centred, Christ-filled year.
